The aim of Leadership Agenda is to facilitate the sharing of good practices, tools and capability assessment frameworks, for Performance Management and Innovation, that may help develop globally credible organisations and managers

Facilitating Change

The consultancy and academic market place is full of deeply knowledgeable experts but many consultancy organisations insist on taking control  of change themselves and, after a period of fast action, an organisation can often be left with a program that it neither fully understands or that its Executives “own”.

Increasingly many management teams are  finding it equally  beneficial, and cost-effective, to initiate self directed change, often focussed by a phase of consensual organisational self assessment/diagnosis (-Using performance frameworks such as the EFQM Model). With self directed change comes a need to support your key managers  to help them identify and address their personal knowledge, experience or commitment gaps. We offer internationally experienced Executive mentors to help you with this.

Leadership Agenda makes significant and ongoing investments to ensure that its international mentors are able to influence and shape the future of business, They have proven track records  in translating latest business thinking into meaningful practice and can offer dedicated, personalised and confidential mentoring support.

The way in which they operate is by  a telephone mentoring service. Participating managers sign up for annual packages of 12 monthly calls of x50 minutes duration, supplemented with face to face meetings, if logistically cost-effective (i.e depending on where in the world your key players are based). Programs typically follow the eight steps below over a series of 10-12 calls or meetings.

  1. Introduction phase, agree overall aims, ethical boundaries and a behavioural contract  for subsequent mentoring.
  2. Discuss organisational and personal challenges as the participant manager perceives them.
  3. Set goals for change at both organisational and personal (the manager being mentored) level.
  4. Identify knowledge or experience gaps. -Do you know, what you do not know?
  5. Propose and agree methods to overcome knowledge gaps (ongoing mentoring, good practice visits, knowledge transfer hits, knowledge network memberships,  etc).
  6. Review manager created change plans and personal projects.
  7. Coach and mentor change plan/project deployment.
  8. Review annual achievements,  agree closure and/or and re-setting of next cycle goals.
Sustainable success needs an holistic approach, innovation does not occur in ‘silos’,  through “hands-on” mentoring we can help your managers to access strategically focussed  insights into world class good practice. If you would like to arrange for an exploratory, free of charge, telephone call to discuss how mentoring maybe able to help take your innovation and performance improvement to the next level, please reply via our contact form below.
